What co-living at Utopia actually means
Utopia is one large old mansion in Fresnaye that we've turned into a relaxed community house. You get your own private room with a proper desk and a lock on the door; you share a kitchen, three patios, a garden, a pool table lounge, a hot tub and a pool with a Lion's Head view.
Up to five or six housemates live here at a time — a mix of Cape Town locals and people passing through from abroad. Everyone is conscientious and easy going, and there is more than enough space to be sociable or keep to yourself.
Fast Wi-Fi and an inverter mean load shedding doesn't stop your working day, and a regular cleaning service keeps the shared areas in good shape.
